Kyle Sandialnds and Jackie O Henderson, fresh from living it up in LA, returned to Australia this week to a radio ratings storm.
This KIIS FM duo continued to dominate the Sydney market in the latest round of ratings but their push into Melbourne continues to stall.
The Kyle and Jackie O show dived from a 6.1 per cent share of the Mlebourne market to 5.2 per cent, representing a loss of 71,000 listeners.
That compares to a 13.7 per cent audience share in Sydney.
The Melbourne failure and the millions spent on the expansion are headaches the divisive shock jocks won’t want to deal with following their return from LA.

Sandilands gave fans an inside glimpse of his luxurious Hollywood pad where he and Henderson spent last week broadcasting.
The opulent eight-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills’ prestigious Trousdale Place was home to the Aussie radio duo’s show while they visited the US for newsreader Brooklyn Ross’ wedding to his partner Damien Dirienzo.
Kyle Sandilands wasn’t afraid to splash the cash in LA.
American reality television personality and real estate broker Kendra Wilkinson revealed on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that the property was valued at US$29m, making it one of the most sought-after estates in the Hollywood Hills.
The home makes quite the first impression as you come through the front door.
The luxurious mansion, costing $80,000 (US$55,000) a month to rent, was patrolled by Sandilands’s security team to ensure his family’s safety.
The mansion, prominently featured on VRBO, offers some of the best views in Beverly Hills, stretching from downtown Los Angeles to Century City and Catalina Island.

Its design includes floor-to-ceiling French doors that invite ample natural light and promote an ideal indoor-outdoor flow.
Each guest is provided with a around-the-clock personal concierge.
The property boasts an iconic mid-century modern aesthetic shaped by architects like Wallace Neff, Paul R. Williams, and A. Quincy Jones.

In Sandilands’ virtual tour, he showcased the mansion and highlighted its grand entrance adorned with an enormous chandelier and glass doorway, along with stunning city views from the pool and the temporary in-home studio he shared with Henderson.

“Oh, ding dong, look who’s out of bed. Not a 100 per cent well,” Sandilands said in the video, referencing the sickness which has kept him off the air recently.
“Come inside. [I’m] well enough to do the show today. Welcome, to our Beverley Hills residence.

Pointing to a used nappy from his son Otto, 2, Sandilands said: “That’s bad mothering. Not bad fathering.”
The sprawling complex is just a couple of suburbs away from a property Sandilands himself owns.
He purchased the Holmby Hills residence for just under $5 million and it features six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

The Holmby Hills home is nestled among celebrity neighbours like Taylor Swift, Simon Cowell, Joe Jonas, Kylie Jenner, and Jennifer Lawrence.
In addition to the estimated $20k rental expense last week, Sandilands also spent $23,000 (US$16,000) on a team dinner at high-end Las Vegas steakhouse Papi Steak, ahead of Ross’ nuptials.
Recently, an Instagram Story showed Sandilands handing over $450 in casino winnings to a passer-by, attributing it to a lack of time to cash out before going live on air.
Despite KIIS FM’s ongoing success in Sydney, The Kyle and Jackie O Show has struggled to resonate with Melbourne listeners after expanding into the market on a multimillion-dollar mega deal.
